Raw Materials Specialist

The Raw Materials Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the quality of colors and fabrics, including garments and components, to assure final product quality. The role involves assisting in the technical development, pre-production, and cataloguing of all fabrics and colors through to production. Regular visits to company stores are required to monitor the quality and consistency of fabrics and colors under store lighting conditions. The position typically reports to the Manager of Textile Technology and directs the Assistant Textile Technologist.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the development of intimates raw materials, including knits and wovens.
• Manage raw materials for the Intimates category.
• Coordinate with design teams to ensure alignment on fabric and trim development for all brands.
• Maintain both physical raw material libraries and digital record-keeping systems, utilizing PLM software.
• Engage in daily meetings (approximately 4-6 per day) and manage daily email communication and follow-up.

Qualifications

• College degree in technical education or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in fabric and color development.
• Experience in the development of intimates raw materials at a similar brand.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
