Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Intellectual Disabilities Location: Weber County About the Role We are seeking compassionate and experienced Direct Support Professionals to support individuals experiencing intellectual disabilities. This role provides a meaningful opportunity to make a positive impact while fostering independence and life skills in the people we serve. Key Responsibilities Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene. Support participation in community activities and recreation. Accompany individuals to appointments, shopping, and social outings as needed. Encourage skill-building for community engagement, such as money management, transportation use, and social interaction. Implement and document individualized support plans (ISP outcomes). Teach and reinforce skills that promote independence, including cooking, budgeting, and personal safety. Support communication and self-advocacy efforts. Promptly report any incidents, changes in condition, or concerns to supervisors. Requirements Current CPR/First Aid certification Authorization to work in the U.S. Clear background check High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience Qualifications & Skills Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support individuals with intellectual disabilities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends #J-18808-Ljbffr
