Barnes Jewish St. Peters Hospital is seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technician (RPSGT) to join our dedicated and supportive team. Full-Time - Nights Schedule - 3-12 hour shifts per week Shift times- 6:30pm - 7:00am Registered Polysomnographic Technician (RPSGT) certification required Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required ***$5,000 Sign-on Bonus*** Overview Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital proudly serves the health care needs of families in St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties. The 102-bed community hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services including the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital, the Breast Health and Women’s Center, the Cardiology Center, the Neurosurgery Center and the Outpatient Surgery and Endoscopy Center. Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital is an Accredited Chest Pain Center and carries a Level II stroke certification. Additionally, the hospital’s medical office building houses offices for specialists in primary care, cardiology, obstetrics, dermatology, surgery and pulmonology. Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital also offers outpatient services including physical therapy, a sleep lab, and cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation. The Sleep and Breathing Lab provides outpatient services and is accredited by The American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Role Purpose Provide therapeutic, diagnostic, and assessment‑related responsibilities within the Sleep Lab department. Ensure quality clinical outcomes in sleep testing procedures performed throughout the Sleep Lab department, and assistance in education and competency of PSG technician trainees. Able to accurately and efficiently complete test analysis (scoring). Responsibilities Applies electrodes and sensors to patient. Prepares, calibrates, and maintains equipment. Performs positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fittings. Performs sleep studies, initiates and maintains various modes of therapy. Recognizes and manages various respiratory conditions. Scores sleep and wake stages, scores clinical events. Generates reports and transfers data to the appropriate media.
