Position Overview Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Senior Support Tech I - 1st Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $25.88-$27.17 per hour. The shift hours are 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you’ll do Eaton’s Mission Systems Division is currently seeking a Senior Support Tech I. This position is based at our Orchard Park, NY facility and supports the manufacturing of springs and lapping of parts that will later be assembled into aerospace products within the Space, Life Support and Actuation programs. Technicians are responsible for performing routine maintenance, collaborating with team members, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Use and evaluate mechanical systems, common tools and measuring equipment. Independently perform low- and moderate‑complexity manufacturing operations following written instructions. Set up, operate, and maintain equipment required for manufacturing processes. Have working experience with special process manufacturing systems and troubleshoot moderate issues without supervision. Identify and communicate troubleshooting instructions or process‑aid opportunities. Have basic experience with ERP systems and standard Microsoft applications. Read and interpret drawings. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution. 4 years of relevant manufacturing/mechanical experience or 6 years of combined manufacturing and military experience. Proficient with various hand tools, measuring tools, and manufacturing equipment. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s Degree with trade certification or equivalent experience. 6 years of manufacturing special processes (spring/lap). Position Criteria Ability to communicate effectively, manage time, and adapt to various work environments. Demonstrated understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Cellular Manufacturing, One Piece Flow, and Continuous Improvement concepts.
