Customer Service Representative

Description

Handles customer inquiries billing issues complaints and account-related requests. Provides information on company policies assists with problem resolution and ensures customer satisfaction. Emphasizes public relations revenue risk management and adherence to corporate policies. May assist in fraud detection claims investigations and coaching less experienced team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, utility providers, vendors, and third-party suppliers through both written and verbal communication

• Address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns efficiently, ensuring timely follow-up and complete resolution

• Manage day-to-day activities related to utility billing, including account setup, maintenance, and closure

• Provide support on billing inquiries, disconnection notices, and utility/vendor contract matters

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records within CRM and billing systems

• Monitor account activity and identify discrepancies or issues requiring attention

• Analyze recurring customer concerns and recommend process improvements to enhance service delivery

• Assist with special projects and contribute to ongoing operational and process improvement initiatives

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience (minimum of 4 years in a customer-facing role)

• Experience in energy or utilities is preferred but not required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
