Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Step Down unit, requiring stepdown experience, tracheostomy care experience, and an active OK or compact RN license.

Details

• Med Specialty Step Down unit within a hospital setting
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Cares for a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients and delegates tasks to support staff

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• BLS certification issued by AHA required
• ACLS certification issued by AHA required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Stepdown experience required
• Tracheostomy care experience required
• ICU experience preferred
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred
• Full DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Administers medication and monitors IV infusions and blood products
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and communicates changes to physicians
• Assists physicians with minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Interacts with patients and families regarding care plans and discharge
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Facility strictly enforces compliance deadlines; onboarding must begin immediately upon booking
• Returning workers limited to one extension up to a total of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
