This position offers ongoing temporary work in a clinical setting, providing an opportunity to utilize your phlebotomy skills while contributing to patient care in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesFacilitate the collection, processing, and shipping of blood and urine specimensPerform venipuncture to collect blood specimens accurately and efficientlyObserve and collect urine specimens from patients, including observed and supervised collectionsIdentify patients correctly following departmental policies before specimen collectionProperly label, document, and prepare specimens for shipmentDemonstrate excellent customer service and compassionate interaction with patients, physicians, and clinic staffCommunicate effectively with a diverse patient populationFollow all safety protocols, OSHA standards, and HIPAA guidelines when handling specimensMaintain a clean and organized work environmentAssist with order processing and office supply management as neededInform supervisors of any unusual problems, low shift volume, or procedural deviationsRequired SkillsMinimum of 6 months venipuncture experienceStrong customer service skills with verifiable track recordReliable with a strong work ethicStrong computer skills, including managing multiple programs, email, and reportsFast, accurate data entryEffective communication skills to interact clearly and confidentlyAdditional Skills & RequirementsAbility to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbsPhysical capability to perform activities such as walking, bending, lifting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and squattingVenipuncture certification or equivalent experience requiredExperience in observing urine collections is preferredScheduling flexibility to work on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 10:00 AM to 1:00 PMWork in a clinical setting near Hillsboro or similar regionThe right candidate will be detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of specimen collection and patient interaction.
