We are seeking an experienced Cheesemaker for a respected local artisan creamery. This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have previous professional cheesemaking experience and a strong understanding of milk processing, cultures, curd development, sanitation, and food-safety standards.

Experienced Cheesemake Details:
- Temp-to-Hire position
- $18.00 / hour
- Full Time work available
- Weekend work required
- First Shift
- Complete all stages of cheesemaking, from milk preparation through finished product.
- Measure and add cultures, rennet, and other ingredients according to established recipes.
- Monitor temperature, acidity, moisture, curd development, and processing times.
- Cut, stir, drain, hoop, press, salt, and transfer cheese for aging.
- Operate vats, presses, pumps, and other cheesemaking equipment.
- Maintain accurate batch, production, sanitation, and quality-control records.
- Clean and sanitize equipment while following strict food-safety procedures.
Experienced Cheesemake Qualifications:
- Professional cheesemaking experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of cultures, coagulation, curd handling, and cheese production.
- Experience operating commercial cheesemaking or dairy-processing equipment.
- Understanding of sanitation, HACCP, and food-manufacturing requirements.
- Ability to recognize and correct quality or production issues.
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Dependable attendance with excellent attention to detail and consistency.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
