Knowledge Management Attorney

Overview The role strengthens the registered funds practice by developing practical legal knowledge resources, improving attorney workflows, and supporting high-quality client service. It leads the registered funds knowledge management strategy and collaborates across asset management practices to ensure consistent and efficient legal work. Responsibilities include building, updating, and managing essential knowledge resources such as model documents, precedent collections, forms, checklists, practice notes, and training materials, all reflecting current law, market practice, and regulatory developments. Monitors legal, regulatory, and market developments affecting registered funds and their advisers, translating these into timely updates for practice tools and workflows, and develops and delivers related training. Supports the responsible and ethical use of legal technology and artificial intelligence tools in registered funds work, including evaluating use cases, protecting confidentiality, verifying outputs, and applying independent legal judgment, while helping lawyers improve workflows. The position primarily focuses on knowledge management and practice innovation, though it may also involve selected client-facing legal work related to registered funds. It also identifies, evaluates, and recommends third-party legal, regulatory, and market resources. Requires strong knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework for registered investment companies and investment advisers, covering areas like fund formation, registration, disclosure, governance, compliance, board matters, regulatory filings, and ongoing fund operations. Demonstrated ability to draft, review, and maintain high-quality registered funds documents (e.g., registration statements, board materials, compliance policies, investor disclosure, service provider agreements) and experience of more than five years in relevant registered funds, preferably from a global or large law firm or comparable in-house. #J-18808-Ljbffr Ropes & Gray LLP
