You'll work in a collaborative, trusting, thought-provoking environment—one that encourages thought and creative solutions that are in the best interests of our engineers globally.Job ResponsibilitiesDevelops, enhances and supports our Trade Execution Platform, which is critical to trading and other business activities.Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or breakdown technical problemsDevelops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersApplies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automationIdentifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsDrives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes (e.g., AI-assisted code review/refactoring, test strategy acceleration, incident/root-cause analysis support), while establishing consistent validation standards (secure coding, peer review, automated testing) and promoting reuse of effective patterns across the teamContributes to the wider team culture of opportunity, inclusion, and respect.Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and SkillsFormal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceStrong hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityAdvanced in one or more programming language and proficient in coding in one or more languages and frameworks such as Python, Pandas, Django, Java, Spring, SQL, MQ/KafkaHands-on experience developing applications using Cloud platforms like AWS, Kubernetes, Cloud FoundryExperience with relational database systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQLAdvanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityDemonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Project execution experience with Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with non-technical colleagues to understand and address business needsDemonstrated experience leading effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, code review, test acceleration, troubleshooting) with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and securityStrong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; experience coaching senior engineers/leads on compliant usage patterns and controls.Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and SkillsStrong stakeholder management and the ability to align technical solutions with business goals.Familiarity with investment banking products - fixed income, derivativesPrior experience supporting trade execution platforms
