Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Estimator to join our dynamic team. The Senior Commercial Estimator will play a critical role in our commercial projects, working closely with our team to ensure accurate cost estimations and effective project execution. This role requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating and a deep understanding of the construction industry.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive, detailed project cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Review and interpret construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project scope and requirements.
• Utilize expert blueprint reading skills to assess potential project challenges and devise solutions.
• Conduct site surveys and worksite evaluations to gather data for cost estimation.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to develop conceptual budgets and detailed cost plans.
• Prepare and present financial analysis reports to senior management, highlighting key cost factors and potential risks.
• Utilize knowledge of CSI Divisions to accurately categorize project elements for cost estimation.
• Monitor project progress, ensuring costs are in line with estimates and identifying any potential financial risks or discrepancies.
• Work closely with procurement team to negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Stay current with the latest industry trends, cost estimating methods, and construction technologies to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
• Proficient in using cost estimation software and tools.
• Strong knowledge of CSI Divisions, construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Exceptional skills in blueprint reading, financial analysis, and budgeting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Proven track record of delivering accurate and timely cost estimates on large-scale commercial construction projects.
• Professional certification in cost estimating or construction management is a plus.
