Supports the Fire Safety Inspector in conducting fire extinguisher inspections, assisting with fire safety compliance activities, and promoting a safe campus environment.
Location: ISEC 183B Supervisor: Jerry Bova Hours/Shifts Available: 8 hours/week Rate of Pay: $9.70/hr Number of Positions available: 2 Essential Responsibilities and Duties Fire Extinguisher Inspection:
- Assist in monthly inspections of fire extinguishers in non-residential campus buildings.
- Check for proper placement, accessibility, and signage.
- Verify inspection tags are up to date and properly documented.
- Report missing, damaged, or discharged extinguishers.
- Help maintain inspection logs and digital records.
- Assist with identifying fire hazards.
- Frequent walking, climbing stairs, and accessing various campus facilities
- Occasional lifting, bending, and carrying of equipment.
- Fire extinguisher inspection procedures.
- Basic fire safety and hazard recognition.
- Campus safety protocols and compliance standards.
