Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Director of Nursing and Ambulatory Surgery Center Leadership position located in Dallas, TX. The Director of Nursing will provide clinical leadership and oversight of nursing operations while working closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and administrative leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Salary is negotiable. Responsibilities include overseeing nursing staff and clinical workflows, establishing and maintaining clinical protocols and standards, ensuring accurate and timely documentation, managing medication and procedural practices, monitoring patient outcomes, and maintaining compliance with infection control, patient safety, regulatory, and accreditation requirements. The Director of Nursing will also play a key leadership role in day-to-day management and operation of the ambulatory surgery center , including coordinating nursing and procedural staff, optimizing surgical and patient-care workflows, overseeing pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative processes, ensuring appropriate staffing and resources, and promoting efficient, safe, and patient-centered surgical care. Additional responsibilities will include staff development and education, performance management, quality improvement initiatives, policy and procedure development, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with physicians and other leadership to improve clinical outcomes and operational efficiency. The Director of Nursing will also maintain an active role in the chronic pain practice, supporting patient care, procedures and interdisciplinary treatment plans as needed. This position is intended for an experienced nursing professional who can provide strong clinical, administrative, and operational leadership across both the pain management practice and ambulatory surgery center. Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas and graduation from an accredited nursing program. Clinical experience in pain management, primary care, internal medicine, or a related specialty preferred. Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, and care coordination skills. Ability to provide clear patient education and communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer applications. Demonstrated commitment to compassionate, non-judgmental, and culturally sensitive patient care. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple patients and tasks during a busy clinic day. Current BLS certification; ACLS or other relevant certifications are a plus.
