Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of critical care experience and current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications.

Job Details

• Work in the ICU of a hospital setting,
• Patient ratio of 1:2,
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM,
• Required to work Labor Day and weekend rotation,
• No floating required,
• Meditech Expanse EMR used, experience strongly preferred,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand, IN or compact license required,
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS required,
• CCRN, CMSRN, or RN-BC preferred,
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required,
• Previous travel nursing experience required,
• Community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred,
• Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, central and PICC line care, and blood product administration,
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and care of ventilated patients,
• Experience managing vasoactive and cardiac drips, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response,
• Experience with renal and respiratory critical care management including CRRT and BiPAP/CPAP,
• Valid driver's license required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients with complex medical and surgical needs,
• Experience in neuro, cardiovascular, GI, and respiratory critical care management is valuable,
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within an 80-mile radius,
• Must call out any absence if more than a week in advance,
• Candidates should be prepared to assist with holiday coverage as indicated during consideration,
• Pending state licenses are not accepted; license must be active prior to start,
• First-time travelers considered depending on experience level
