Field Medical Assistants play a crucial role in supporting patients with chronic diseases, the general population, and elderly or disabled individuals in their homes and local field offices. They provide essential services such as sample collection, wound care patient care, and equipment maintenance while ensuring infection control and accurate data entry. Working closely within a clinical team and reporting to a nurse manager, they utilize mobile data collection apps, EHR systems, and laboratory equipment to deliver efficient and compassionate care across multiple departments with minimal local travel.

Responsibilities

• Support patients during home visits and field office interactions
• Collect biological samples following proper protocols
• Maintain and sanitize medical equipment
• Enter patient data accurately using electronic health record systems
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments and follow-ups
• Adhere to infection control procedures to ensure patient and staff safety
• Communicate effectively with patients, clinical teams, and supervisors
• Coordinate minimal local travel logistics for patient visits

Required Qualifications

• Basic medical knowledge relevant to patient care
• Phlebotomy skills for safe and effective sample collection
• Experience in patient care and support
• Proficiency in record management and data entry
• Understanding and application of infection control procedures
• Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and teams
• Effective time management to handle multiple responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in medical assistance roles
• High school diploma or equivalent education
