Tech - Surgical

Job Summary:
The Surgical Technologist plays a crucial role in supporting surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining sterile environments, and assisting surgical teams. This role requires ensuring compliance with clinical standards and safety protocols while providing high-quality patient care during surgeries.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons and surgical team members during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile techniques.
• Ensure proper sterilization and handling of surgical tools to prevent infection.
• Maintain accurate documentation of surgical activities and maintain compliance with hospital policies.
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and other intraoperative tasks as directed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required.
• Completion of a surgical technology program.
• Certification through the NBSTSA or NCCT is mandatory.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Computer literacy required for documentation and record keeping.
• Minimum of 2 years of surgical technologist experience preferred.
