Sourcing Manager

Sourcing ManagerSP Industries Inc. is hiring for our team in Pocomoke City, MD and has an immediate opening for a Sourcing Manager! The Sourcing Manager is responsible for creating strategic sourcing solutions for the Consumables Labware Products Business. This will involve selecting best cost/strategic sources of supply for our purchased components, semi-finished components, finished products and raw materials. They will negotiate supply agreements, in conjunction with plant leadership team. To ensure adherence to the negotiated agreements, the Sourcing Manager will coordinate with the site supply chain leader to setup the appropriate ERP requirements. Finally, the Strategic Sourcing Manager will manage their supply base's performance against the agreed terms, but also their delivery and quality performance. This position may also periodically be responsible for assisting in general responsibilities in the tactical purchasing department. This will be a hybrid role with 3-4 days onsite in Pocomoke City, MD.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupplier evaluation and selection, including negotiating the terms and conditions of our business.Sourcing new vendors by category and reviewing with managementSupplier management and auditingAnnual cost reduction execution meeting annual goalsWork with engineering to actively reduce SKUs/complexity in support of best cost solutionsAutonomous decision making within approval guidelinesAssist site leadership in the development of process and policyCommunication and integration with related functional areas.Assist with general responsibilities within the tactical purchasing department.Liaise with engineering to ensure appropriate standards are used in material requirements.Consistent and predictable attendanceUnderstands and complies with all company rules and regulationsReports unsafe conditions and practices to managementImmediately reports injuries to managementEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBA or 10-15 years of relevant job experience5+ years of purchasing or related materials experience.Track record of negotiating supply annual agreements.Excellent proactive communication & organization skills.Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet deadlines and follow through.Best cost evaluation and analysis of supplier spend and consolidation ability.Good judgment in choosing from multiple options and courses of conduct.Ability to manage multiple conflicting tasks in a dynamic environment.High degree of accuracy and detail.Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and some Access is preferredSalary range: $105,000 - $120,000.HSE All employees have the responsibility to work in a safe manner and report any health, safety or environmental concern to their manager or supervisor in a timely manner.
