Our client, a Japanese Logistics company is looking for an Operation Manager
Industry: Logistics
Position: Operation Manager
Location: Dallas, TX
Salary: 60-65k base + benefits
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations including air/ocean forwarding, warehouse coordination, trucking, and related logistics activities
- Manage shipment arrangements and coordinate with customers, carriers, brokers, and overseas partners
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of documentation, billing, invoices, and payment collection
- Support customer service and resolve operational issues in a professional manner
- Supervise and support a small operations team, helping manage workflow and team performance
- Prepare quotations, support pricing activities, and monitor operational costs and profitability
- Work closely with sales and internal teams to support customer relationships and business growth
- Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with company procedures and logistics regulations
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and service quality
Qualifications:
- Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation operations
- Knowledge of air/ocean export procedures and related documentation
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics systems (e.g., CargoWise)
- Japanese skill is a big plus
