Technician 2

Job Summary Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, perform diagnostics, and make repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Use hand and power tools; provide own mechanic tools. Work safely in a fast‑paced, changing-priority environment. Document work performed and maintain accurate service records. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired. 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large‑scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil & gas equipment) strongly preferred. Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting skills. Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting skills. Ability to be flexible with changing priorities. Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs. Physical Demands The role requires bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required.
