POSITION SUMMARY:

The Global Director of Aerospace (GDA) serves as the lead metalworking fluids sales professional in the Aerospace metalworking markets.  The GDA works with Master’s customers, District Sales Managers, Regional Aerospace Managers and distributors to meet sales targets and strategic goals.  The ASM is responsible for providing technical sales support for the Corporation’s products and services, and in conjunction with local distributors and District Sales Managers, for developing business plans, marketing analysis, and growing profitable sales revenue.  The GDA contributes to the development of Aerospace strategic plan, technical assistance, business climate reviews, reporting, and analysis.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field and sales expertise with five to seven years of experience in the technical arena.  Must have verbal and written skills to communicate effectively with Distributors, Customers, and Master Chemical personnel at all levels.  Must understand the sales process.  This position requires travel, often overnight, and will require international travel. 

ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES:

Identifies and qualifies new business opportunities/new customer opportunities in the Aerospace industry

Develops and maintains good relationships with customers; works with District Sales Managers, Regional Aerospace Managers, distributors, and customers including frequent joint sales/service calls made on customers with District Sales Managers and/or distributor sales personnel

Increases sales through effective marketing sales and service of the Corporation’s products and proper management of distributor activities

Maintains frequent and complete communication with customers, District Sales Managers, Service Engineers, Regional Aerospace Managers, distributors, and the Corporate office as appropriate, including technical communications with the laboratory, tech line, and marketing (competitive activity, target accounts status, customer preference, trends, etc.).

Builds relationships at all levels to meet new business target goals

Continually communicates, negotiates, and closes new business deals and is a true “hunter”

Assists in the overall development of the district, including target account selection and development, maintaining contact and good relations with machine tool builders

Complies with the Corporation’s policies in respect to travel, expenses, and all reporting functions

Effectively manages their pipeline, large and target customer base, distribution network, and prioritizes the amount of time by utilizing the SM Territory Analysis tools, manages new product and cleaner sales revenue and percentages, product and customer mix, and utilizes the provided forecasting tools

Develops and maintains working knowledge of all fluids and system products sold and serviced by the Corporation
