This facility operates with fewer than 300 beds and provides obstetric and gynecologic services, including laborist coverage for the Emergency Department and Labor and Delivery department. The facility maintains established clinical protocols and structured workflows to support continuous care delivery across all assigned coverage periods. On-site resources are in place to facilitate coordinated obstetric and gynecologic care throughout each designated assignment.

The assignment area offers clinicians access to a range of cultural, entertainment, and outdoor attractions suited to varied interests. Notable destinations include the Bakersfield Museum of Art, the Bakersfield Music Hall of Fame, and entertainment venues such as Dignity Health Arena and the Buck Owens Crystal Palace. Additional options include outdoor pursuits, shopping at the Outlets at Tejon, farm experiences, and rafting, providing clinicians with varied opportunities during time away from clinical responsibilities.

Clinicians will provide obstetric and gynecologic coverage in a laborist role through 24-hour restricted in-house call shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM) on an on-site basis, with up to 7 shifts per month available. Continuous on-site presence is required throughout each designated shift, with coverage encompassing the Emergency Department and Labor and Delivery department, as well as consult management. Clinical responsibilities include the performance of emergency gynecologic procedures as needed, with an expected volume of 3-4 deliveries per day. Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required for all clinicians considered for this position.
