RN – Med/Surg (Contract)

Location: California 95370 | Pay: $1,816–$2,041/week | Shift: 3rd 12 Night Shift | Hours: 36–48/week

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards and the nursing process.

• Supervise and direct assigned nursing staff.

• Coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) – preferred

• Acute care facility experience – preferred

• RN licensure in California – required

• CPR/BLS (OR HS-BLS or RQI-BLS) – required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – required

• Collect and analyze patient data to determine diagnosis and care issues.

• Develop and implement nursing care plans to achieve outcomes.

• Coordinate care delivery and promote a safe, healing environment.

• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.

• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers.

• Provide education to patients, families, and team members.

• Participate in discharge planning for continuity of care.

• Delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members.

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

• Required vaccinations per hospital policy.

• Unit: 50 beds (2 floors, 25 rooms each)

• Staffing ratios: 1:4 (telemetry), 1:5 (Med/Surg)

• Weekend coverage: 1 shift per pay period

• Medication system: Pyxis

• Documentation system: Cerner IV

• Teams: No-lift teams; pharmacy & phlebotomy 24/7; unit secretary 24/7

• Provider coverage: Intensivist & hospitalist 24/7

• Scrubs: Solid colors
