Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for an individual patient or assigned group using the nursing process.
• Collect and analyze health data, diagnose care needs, and develop a plan with interventions to achieve outcomes.
• Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery with the treatment team, and promote a safe, healing environment.
• Monitor progress, adjust care as needed, and participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to various nursing staff levels; collaborate with patients, families, and other disciplines.
• Provide education to patients and families, and contribute to maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; CPR certification may be required per policy
• ACLS (American Heart Association) or ARC-ALS required
• PALS (American Heart Association) or ARC-PALS required
• Minimum two years of recent nursing experience; acute care experience preferred
• BSN degree preferred
• Ability to work in a night shift and in a travel assignment environment

Education and Licensure

• Nursing degree accepted: BSN preferred
• Active RN licensure in California
• Current BLS and ACLS/PALS credentials as outlined
