Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides high-quality nursing care to emergency room patients, ensuring timely and accurate assessment and treatment in a fast-paced environment. Supervises and coordinates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compassionate, efficient care while adhering to established standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients promptly upon arrival to determine acuity and prioritize care effectively.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on clinical evaluation and patient needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to provide comprehensive emergency care.
• Educate patients and families on treatment options, procedures, and post-discharge care.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to nursing staff and supervise their performance to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed records of assessments, interventions, and progress.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Possess a minimum of two years recent experience in emergency nursing.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Hold Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking, clinical skills, and ability to work under pressure.
