Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor and Delivery RN with high-risk L&D experience and C-EFM certification for a day shift assignment requiring a compact or MD RN license.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• High risk L&D patient population
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• On-call required, 36 hours per 6 weeks or 12 hours per pay period, with a 45-minute response window
• Floating required within skillset to Mom/Baby and postpartum units

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or MD) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and C-EFM through NCC
• 2 years of recent L&D experience within the last 7 years required
• Prior charge nurse experience required
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Experience in high-risk L&D, circulating for C-sections, fetal heart monitoring, and antepartum care required
• Triage experience for obstetrical patients preferred
• Mother/baby and postpartum experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including assisting with high-risk deliveries and circulating for C-sections
• Perform fetal monitoring including recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns using external fetal monitoring
• Deliver antepartum care and manage triage of obstetrical patients
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a reduced rate
• No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Candidates with previous employment at this health system must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position due to the travel experience requirement
