Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 3 years of main hospital OR experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Community hospital Operating Room setting with 1:1 staffing ratio
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday 7:00 AM-3:30 PM (40 hours/week)
• On-call requirement including nights, weekends, and holidays, typically one night per week
• 2-3 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• Uses Meditech charting system
• Wide range of surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, ENT, thoracic, vascular, neurology, and robotics

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of main hospital OR experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Meditech charting system experience required
• Skilled in perioperative patient assessment and individualized care planning

Additional Information

• Responsible for assessing patients upon admission to the OR, addressing biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, and educational needs
• Continuously reassesses patients and develops individualized intraoperative nursing care plans
• Candidates will be reviewed and interviewed by the hiring manager
• No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility
• RTO must be disclosed at time of submission for consideration (maximum of 5 days, subject to manager approval)
