Work Environment\n

This role offers the flexibility of a fully remote work setting, allowing for a balance between professional responsibilities and personal life. Our outpatient office model fosters collaboration and communication among team members, ensuring high-quality care delivery to our clients. Regular working hours are set from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, during which you will engage with clients through various telehealth platforms and phone consultations.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly clients to identify their specific psychological and emotional needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that address emotional challenges faced by seniors, such as anxiety, depression, and the impact of aging.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.

• Provide educational resources and support to staff, caregivers, and family members to enhance the emotional well-being of seniors and improve their quality of life.

• Offer specialized grief and loss counseling services to elderly clients and their families coping with end-of-life issues.
\n
• Design and implement cognitive stimulation programs and mental health interventions that promote mental acuity among elderly individuals.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on elderly residents, many of whom are dealing with complex mental health issues related to aging, including but not limited to addiction, grief, and chronic illness. A deep understanding of the social and psychological impacts of aging will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification is mandatory.

• A minimum of 4 years of recent experience specifically in geriatric counseling and mental health support, demonstrating a commitment to this specialized area of practice.

• Training or specialization in geriatric mental health and the complexities associated with aging is highly desirable.

• A comprehensive understanding of evidence-based interventions designed to promote mental well-being in older adults.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, a sign-on bonus will be offered to successful candidates. Benefits include:
