Although remote, you will participate in regular team meetings to ensure collaborative patient care and continuing staff development.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly clients and identify their specific psychological and emotional care needs.

• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions aimed at helping seniors address emotional challenges related to aging, social isolation, and transitions.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians and social workers, to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs.

• Provide educational resources and training for staff and family members on strategies to enhance emotional and psychological well-being for seniors, improving their overall quality of life.

• Offer grief and loss counseling for clients and their families, especially during end-of-life transitions and bereavement.

• Implement cognitive stimulation programs designed to enhance mental acuity and engagement among elderly individuals.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress within our electronic health records system.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on elderly clients, many of whom face challenges related to grief, cognitive decline, chronic illnesses, and the complexities that accompany aging. By providing empathetic mental health support, you will play a critical role in promoting mental wellness and assisting clients in navigating significant life changes.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification.

Compensation and Benefits\n
