Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that guide patient care.

• Facilitate group and individual therapy sessions focusing on coping strategies, mental health education, and emotional support.

• Implement pre-crisis and crisis intervention strategies, including behavioral guidelines and risk assessments, to ensure patient safety.

• Accurately complete and maintain documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to devise and monitor positive behavior support plans tailored to each client's needs.

• Engage in ongoing professional development by attending state and national conferences to stay updated on the latest geriatric mental health best practices.

• Act as a liaison between patients, families, and community resources to facilitate access to additional support systems.

• Participate actively in the organization's accreditation and licensing processes, fostering a culture of compliance and ethical practice.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinic Director, contributing to team objectives and patient care enhancements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on the elderly population, addressing their unique mental health needs such as coping with loss, navigating life transitions, and managing age-related issues. You will work with seniors from diverse backgrounds, requiring a keen awareness of cultural differences and a commitment to inclusivity in treatment approaches.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Washington.

• A minimum of four years of recent experience providing mental health counseling services, ideally with a focus on geriatric populations.

• Training or specialization in aging-related mental health issues will be viewed as a significant advantage.

Compensation and Benefits\n
