The regular workweek runs from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, allowing our counselors to prioritize their well-being while delivering essential services to clients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly residents to identify specific emotional, psychological, and social care needs.

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to support clients in managing emotional challenges related to aging, loss, and major life transitions.

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care plans tailored to the unique needs of geriatric residents.

• Educate family members and healthcare staff on effective strategies to enhance the emotional well-being and quality of life for elderly clients.

• Facilitate grief and loss counseling sessions, helping clients and their families navigate the complex emotions associated with end-of-life issues.

• Design and implement cognitive stimulation programs and other mental health interventions aimed at supporting mental acuity and resilience among elderly individuals.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily serves elderly individuals who face various mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, and grief. Our clients often deal with significant life changes, such as the death of loved ones, relocation to assisted living facilities, or health-related challenges. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will play a vital role in helping these individuals cope and thrive despite their circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification.

Compensation and Benefits\n
