Remote Physics Research Scientist (Contract) — AI Reasoning

Mercor is seeking a Physics PhD contractor to tackle challenging problems and evaluate AI-generated proofs. You will review derivations for correctness, identify gaps in reasoning, and apply formal principles to improve model outputs. The role is remote with flexible schedule and approximately 15 hours per week.

Ideal candidates hold a PhD in Physics from a top program (US/UK/CA) and can work independently, delivering results within 24 hours when project work is available.
