Provides a standard registration process by collecting demographic and financial data and enter information into an electronic medical record.Primary ResponsibilitiesGreets and welcomes patient in personCollects demographic and insurance informationChecks in or interview patients to complete appropriate paperworkDirects patient to their appointment or procedureDocuments any issues and resolutions in electronic medical recordMay assist in scheduling add-on appointmentsVerifies eligibility and benefits information for payers and interprets resultsObtains cost information and explains information to patient if necessaryObtains signatures from patients as neededCollects co-pay or deductiblesDetermines patient need for financial counseling and offers to explain resources availableMay order supplies in designated work areaUses resources, tools, and procedures to complete accounts in assigned work queuesAssists patient in completion of request for information forms and submits to appropriate departmentMay gather medical record information from all departments for collection and distributionYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications2+ years of customer service experience1+ years of revenue cycle experienceIntermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productsMust be 18 years or olderAbility to work the following biweekly rotating schedule from 6:00am - 2:30pm Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & SaturdayWeek 2: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & FridayAbility to work standard daytime hours, Monday - Friday for the first 3 weeks after hire in alignment with the training schedulePreferred QualificationsGeneral office experienceExperience with electronic medical records**PLEASE NOTE** The sign-on bonus is only available to external candidates.
