Position ITOM & CMDB ServiceNow technical consultant (ONLY W2) Location USA REMOTE Client OpenKyber Job Title ITOM Technical consultant Responsibilities and Skills CMDB: Experience in ServiceNow CMDB/AMDB processes. Experience in CMDB/AMDB data model and configuration. Experience in CMDB assessment and data cleanup activity. Experience in Service catalog development. Knowledge of CMDB normalization, identification and reconciliation jobs. Experience in ServiceNow customization. Integration experience using SOAP/RESTful API. At least 2 years of experience in CSDM‑led CMDB implementation using ServiceNow platform. Experience in designing, development, and implementation of automated processes for gathering, populating, and maintaining CMDB data. Experience in building CMDB health dashboard and custom reporting. Good written and communication skills. ITIL Foundation Level Certification. Discovery: As a technical consultant focusing on ITOM development and configuration on ServiceNow platform, this resource will deliver finalized ServiceNow Discovery solutions utilizing the ServiceNow Discovery Module. Installation/configuration and implementation of the discovery tool. Strong troubleshooting skills, reading logs, solving complex workflow issues; writing maintainable code as per best coding practices. At least 3 years of experience in implementing discovery solutions for multiple customers. Experience in writing custom patterns for discovering custom/in‑house applications. Experience in scripting and solutions to expand the ServiceNow Discovery module. Knowledge of scripting languages. Experience in building custom integration using adapters or custom connectors. Preferred candidates have discovery and other ITOM certification. Candidate should be comfortable in scripting and coding Discovery probes and sensors, CMDB, CMDB types and scripting. Candidate should be knowledgeable and familiar with the ServiceNow Discovery offerings. Candidate should lead a customer through knowledge and requirements discussions for implementing and deploying ServiceNow Discovery. Candidate should have experience in coding, test scripts and configuration for ServiceNow Discovery. Candidate can configure ServiceNow MID Servers in customer environments. Candidate should have experience in developing customized probes and sensors for Discovery. Candidate should have experience in delivering technical workshops on Discovery, integration with full knowledge of CMDB/AMDB lifecycle. Candidate can articulate the ServiceNow CMDB classes for asset and configuration, their relationships and dependencies. Service Mapping: As a technical consultant focusing on ITOM development and configuration on ServiceNow platform, this resource will deliver finalized ServiceNow Service Mapping solutions utilizing the ServiceNow Discovery Module. The ServiceNow Service Mapping technical consultant will play a key role during the planning stage of enhancing auto‑discovered configuration data that makes up a service. Additionally, the technical consultant will understand business service architecture and translate them into technical specifications for Service Map implementation. Work with process owners to understand the business service architecture and required information related to business/service map data and develop technical specifications and solutions. Work with system managers to ensure that the Discovery tool has the appropriate access and permissions to capture configuration information. Provide visibility to the performance and issues related to Discovery. Collaborate with Infrastructure Architects to understand IT technology strategy that guides which requirements need to be gathered. Work with Application SMEs to create and validate Service Maps for key applications. Maintain the integrity of the Service Mapping module across production and non‑production environments.
