Adjunct Professor - California School of Management & Leadership: MBA Program - LA Campus Candidate Pool Contract LegalEntity: Alliant International University, Inc. Compensation: USD 24 - 36 hourly Application Description Applicants to this position will be considered for a candidate pool encompassing one or more of the subject areas outlined in the job description. This pool will be used to identify qualified candidates for potential appointments during the 2026–2027 academic year. Salary Range $24 - $38 hourly (based on course requirements & level of education). This is a temporary, non-benefits eligible role. Adjunct professors are in the following programs/courses Strategic Marketing Management. Capstone: Management in a New Age. Technology for Managerial Decision Making. Each course has a duration of 8 weeks with 1 additional week for the instructor to prep and 1 additional week for grading. The course meets one day a week for 4 hours or is in the executive format. Minimum Qualifications Education: Master’s, Doctoral or other terminal degree from an accredited college or university, depending upon the needs of the course being taught. Experience: Five (5) years of appropriate experience in the areas(s) of specialization and expertise required for candidates with a master’s degree. Two (2) years of appropriate experience in the area(s) of specialization and expertise required for candidates with a doctoral degree. Class curriculum coordination and planning. Assessment and evaluation of learners. Mentoring and advising of students. Holding office hours and meeting with students. Skills Proficient computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs. The ability to work independently and be self-motivated. High level of accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to problem solve. The ability to explain complex requirements in clear and concise terms. The ability to be flexible with workflow to meet the needs of the department and students and to manage multiple tasks per required deadlines. The drive to encourage, direct, hold accountable and guide candidates toward task completion. Must demonstrate the ability to work as an effective team member and develop trusting relationships with students and Alliant employees, as well as the Registrar’s Office and various academic departments. Culturally competent and ability to communicate and interact effectively with diverse people. Highly motivated, focused and results oriented. Ability to exercise discretion and tact in all interpersonal interactions, and to maintain confidentiality. Collaboration and partnering with other university stakeholders to support candidate success. Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments Supervisory Responsibility Direct Reports: Program Director, Master of Business Program (MBA). Indirect Reports: None. Contact Responsibility Internal: Interacts with Program Director, Campus Director and Academic Program Coordinator to receive support and guidance throughout the instructional term. Main communication is between Adjunct Faculty and currently enrolled candidates. External: None. Work environment is in a standard office setting. Frequently exposed to low to moderate noise, various odors, temperature changes, and equipment with moving parts, including but not limited to computers, phones, printers, and other standard office equipment.
