Maintenance Technician – Forklift RepairWith a career at The Home Depot, you can be yourself and also be part of something bigger.The Maintenance Technician – Forklift Repair is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all powered industrial trucks within the facility. This role performs troubleshooting, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on forklifts and related material-handling equipment to minimize downtime and support uninterrupted warehouse and production operations. The technician upholds safety standards, maintains accurate service records, and collaborates with operations teams to identify equipment needs and optimize performance.Key responsibilities include:Troubleshoots and repairs electric lift equipment, conveyor systems, as well as technical, mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic issues where needed. Understands and troubleshoots conveyor operating system logicPerforms preventative maintenance as well as necessary modifications on electric lift equipment, conveyor systems and buildingsProvides equipment status report, including details of unusual maintenance problemsFollows all safety guidelines established by manufacturer, Home Depot, or government agencies. Adheres to all safety codes and OSHA standardsMaintains safe and clean working environment, performing daily cleanup of work areasThis position reports to Area Supervisor and has no direct reports.Travel requirements typically require overnight travel less than 10% of the time.Physical requirements include continuously standing or walking or regularly lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).Working conditions typically involve a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.Minimum qualifications include being eighteen years of age or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.Preferred qualifications include experience working on industrial electric forklifts and the ability to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.Minimum education typically acquired through the completion of a trade school degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.The pay range for this position is between $27.00 - $39.00 for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Nevada, New York City, Ithaca (NY), Westchester County (NY), and Washington residents.
