Paver Roller Operator — Job Description Overview A Paver Roller Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment to compact asphalt or soil, creating smooth, durable surfaces for roads, parking lots, and other paved areas. Full Time/Overtime/ Traveling/ $25+ Key Responsibilities Operate rollers to compact asphalt, soil, and base materials Adjust speed and rolling patterns to ensure proper compaction Work closely with paving crews to maintain smooth workflow Inspect equipment daily and perform basic maintenance checks Monitor surface quality and fix any uneven areas Follow all safety procedures on the job site At least 2 years of experience operating rollers Knowledge of asphalt materials and paving methods Ability to use paving equipment and basic hand tools Strong physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in hot conditions Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Must be 21 years of age or older Valid, clean driver’s license Ability to travel and work flexible hours as needed Must pass drug testing and background check Ability to report to and work under the Head of AZ Travel Work Environment Outdoor work in heat, dust, and noise Exposure to heavy machinery and traffic areas Requires teamwork and coordination with crew members 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Disability insurance Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid orientation Paid time off Paid training Referral program Retirement plan Safety equipment provided Pavement Preservation Group (Cactus Asphalt, Viking Construction, and American Pavement Preservation) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
