Pride Health is hiring a Patient Coordinator I for one of its clients in New York. This is a 3-month contract with a possible extension, with competitive pay and benefits.

Pay range: $18 - $20 an Hour on a W2

Location: Flushing, NY, - 11372

Duration: 13 weeks of contract (Possibility of an extension)

Shift: M-F 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Work Type: Onsite

Job Summary

Seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) Patient Coordinator with experience in a medical office setting to provide front-desk support, patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and customer service in a physician practice environment.

Job Duties

• Greet patients in person and over the phone.
• Register patients and update demographic and insurance information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain referrals/authorizations.
• Schedule and confirm appointments using Epic Cadence.
• Collect copays and process patient payments.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient records.
• Communicate with providers and staff regarding patient visits.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum 1 year of physician practice or medical office experience.

Prior Patient Coordinator or similar front-desk healthcare experience.

Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Knowledge of Epic Cadence registration and scheduling.

Strong communication, customer service, keyboarding, and telephone skills.

Experience with insurance verification and practice management systems preferred.
