Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
• Conduct regular inventory audits to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Utilize data analysis skills to forecast inventory needs and trends.
• Collaborate with supply chain management to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Assist in the buying and selling processes by providing accurate inventory data.
• Maintain accurate records of materials handling and inventory transactions in AS400 or similar systems.
• Work closely with retail management to support sales initiatives through effective inventory control.
• Prepare reports on inventory status, including stock levels, turnover rates, and potential shortages.

Requirements

• Proven experience in supply chain management or inventory management, preferably in a retail or distribution center setting.
• Strong understanding of materials handling processes and best practices.
• Proficiency in data analysis skills to interpret inventory data effectively.
• Familiarity with AS400 or similar inventory management software is highly desirable.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with various departments.
