Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift contract requiring an active Oregon RN license and at least 1 year of acute care Med/Surg experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• 13-week assignment length
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to Med/Surg Tele, Med Surg Neuro, Med Surg Onc, Med Surg Ortho, and general Medical Surgical units
• Occasional floating to a sister facility (University District) may be required
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active Oregon RN license required (pending license applications accepted)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS, NIHSS, and Chemo certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg acute care experience required
• Travel experience preferred, though first-time travelers will be screened for consideration
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, peripheral line care, and PICC line management
• Two professional references from the past 2 years required, with at least one from a supervisor
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Tele unit including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and line care duties as part of daily responsibilities
• First-time travelers will be considered and screened
• Local candidates are not accepted; must reside 60+ miles from the facility
• Previous PeaceHealth employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a travel RN
• RTO must be disclosed and approved prior to contract signing, with limits based on offer type
• Candidates with more than one DUI are not eligible for consideration
• Vaccination status must be disclosed as part of the application process
