Job Summary:

The Banquet Server is responsible for serving food and beverages to guests in a timely, courteous, efficient and accurate manner. Work well with co-workers as part of a team. Read and understand Banquet Event Orders and carry out the instructions given on the Banquet Event Orders.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve meal accompaniments to banquet attendees.

Perform side work.

Open & pour bottled wine for guests along with other table beverages.

Knowledge of current menu being served and ability to describe ingredients.

Take note of special guest requests and/or allergies and act accordingly.

Bus and set tables/stations, as needed.

Keep various stations replenished and clean (i.e., deli, dessert, coffee, espresso)

Help direct guests and answer questions about facility.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Must have food and wine knowledge for pairing suggestions.

Communicate with support crew and management.

Skills and Education Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required

One year minimum of customer service experience preferably within the Food & Beverage industry.

Excellent written communication and presentation skills.

Highly motivated and flexible, possessing the ability to take initiative.

Flexible schedule, able to work mornings, nights, holidays and weekends

Experience in a luxury world-class hotel or equivalent
