General Purpose Of Job

Responsible for performing and/or assist the neurologists with all procedures performed in the EEG department.

Education, Experience

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or two (2) years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must hold R. EEG T certification

English Language Skills.

Bilingual strongly preferred (English and Spanish)

Communication & Analysis

Analyze and interpret complex materials, including business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Write clear reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Present information effectively and respond to questions from various audiences, including managers, clients, customers, and the public.

License, Certification

Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R. EEG T) Certification - Required

Certified Long-Term Monitoring Technologist (CLTM) - Preferred

Responsible for performing and/or assist the neurologists with all procedures performed in the EEG department.

Maintain the utmost level of confidentiality at all times.

Adhere to hospital policies and procedures.

Demonstrate business practices and personal actions that are ethical and adhere to corporate compliance and integrity guidelines.

Perform all exams in the EEG department.

Document exams done in the department.

Assist the Chief EEG Technician as necessary.

Maintain an accurate filing system.

Handle in-patient and out-patient reports and direct them to the appropriate destination.

Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies.

Maintain equipment in good working order.

Participate in department and hospital-wide Process Improvement Activities.
