Divisions of Hematology, Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplant - HS Clinical Faculty

Position Overview Faculty positions at the ranks of Instructor, Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor in the Health Sciences Clinical faculty series within the Divisions of Hematology, Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplant at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals. Responsibilities Serve as nighttime attendings providing front‑line coverage for patient concerns and admissions, including transfusion needs, sepsis, anaphylaxis, and pain management. Night shifts may occur on a rotating schedule and include weekend coverage. Collaborate with fellows, attending physicians, and advanced practice providers, and perform procedures such as lumbar punctures, bone marrow aspirates, and biopsies. Participate in daytime inpatient rounding teams and interdisciplinary collaboration with nurses, case managers, dietitians, pharmacists, NPs, residents, students, fellows, and attendings. Engage in research, quality improvement, or other scholarly projects with institutional mentorship and resources. Minimum Qualifications Medical degree and license. Board eligibility or certification in Pediatrics. A strong interest in academic pediatrics and clinical education. Preferred Qualifications Board eligibility or certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. Proven collaborative teamwork abilities. Experience supervising residents and medical students in clinical settings. Exceptional communication skills, engaging across diverse forums. Benefits & Compensation For positions with 51% effort or more, the minimum base salary ranges from $110,500 to $333,700, with eligibility for additional compensation under the health sciences compensation plan. For 50% effort or less, the estimated salary range is $78,900 to $238,300.
