JOB SUMMARY

Position Title: Program Coach

Program: Thrive to Five

Classification: Exempt/Full-Time

Location: This role will travel through Lancaster County classrooms depending upon children's needs.

Program Coaches support staff, families, and children in addressing social-emotional delays, trauma responses, and self-regulation skills using evidence-based practices like Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports. They provide professional development for staff through coaching, modeling, and training, and offer curriculum support across all learning domains, and assess classrooms based on regulatory environmental assessments.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Curriculum Supports

• Provides specific non-evaluative coaching and training to enhance teaching practices.
• Develops and supports team members with curriculum implementation and professional development.
• Aligns curriculum with standards and goals.

Social-Emotional Supports

• Provides coaching, modeling, and training for staff, focusing on PBIS practices.
• Supports the implementation of social-emotional learning and curriculum, effective classroom management, and creating inclusive learning environments through culturally responsive lesson plans and differentiated instruction.
• Ensures compliance with mental health system and facilitates professional development in the Teaching Pyramid, PBIS practices, and trauma-informed practices.

Data Management and Assessment

• Enters and manages data related to mental health services and behavior incidents in identified Information Management databases within assigned timelines.

• Uses assessment tools like TPOT, TPITOS, and CLASS to evaluate and improve teaching methods.

• Collaborate with various educational staff to support implementation and continuous quality improvement.

Agency and Community Collaboration

• Develops Positive Behavior Support Plans for home use and assists in creating a welcoming environment for families.

• Collaborates with teachers to teach social-emotional skills, makes referrals to mental health agencies, and establishes partnerships with local school systems.

• Participates in multi-disciplinary team meetings and coordinates resources for children with disabilities and Dual Language Learners.

Leadership

• Pursues opportunities to learn best practices in teacher professional development through research and collaboration.

• Follows all Community Action Partnership/Thrive to Five policies and promotes the agency mission and values in one's work and through interactions with others.
• Collaborate with various specialists and departments to support reports, grant applications, assessments, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

*Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, Early Intervention, or a related field with early childhood experience is required.
• At least 2 years of early childhood classroom experience is required.
• Classroom coaching experience, Practice Based Coaching model is preferred.
• Experience using adult learning principles and training adults is preferred.
