Job OverviewAs the sole IT Administrator, you will manage and maintain the organization's entire IT infrastructure, including Kubernetes clusters hosted on bare-metal servers. This role ensures uninterrupted operations, high performance, and robust security for the organization and includes providing IT support for ADM, a manufacturing plant in Mexico. Your responsibilities span Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 tasks, including end-user support, advanced systems and network administration, automation, containerization, and strategic IT planning. This role demands technical expertise, strategic thinking, and hands-on problem-solving across diverse IT domains.Key ResponsibilitiesTier 1: Frontline SupportServe as the primary contact for IT-related issues across the organization and ADM manufacturing plant.Resolve end-user tickets for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues with minimal downtime.Handle routine tasks such as password resets, software troubleshooting, and hardware provisioning.Manage VoIP devices and accounts to ensure seamless communication.Monitor and maintain Meraki switches, access points, and associated networking equipment to guarantee stable connectivity.Support onboarding and offboarding processes, provisioning hardware, software, and accounts for users across locations, including ADM.Tier 2: Systems Maintenance and Network AdministrationOversee and manage a hybrid IT infrastructure comprising five physical servers and 17 virtual machines hosted on VMware ESXi.Administer hybrid Active Directory environments, including Azure AD synchronization, advanced group policy design, and role-based access control (RBAC).Configure and maintain DNS services for internal and external operations, ensuring reliability and redundancy.Maintain and optimize Veeam backup systems, ensuring reliable data protection and adherence to RTO/RPO objectives.Manage and troubleshoot NVR systems to ensure the availability of security infrastructure.Configure and maintain Layer 3 switches, including VLAN segmentation, inter-VLAN routing, and ACLs for secure and efficient network traffic management.Tier 3: Advanced IT Strategy, Automation, and SecurityHost and maintain Kubernetes clusters on a bare-metal server environment, ensuring scalability, high availability, and secure deployments.Automate IT processes using scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash to streamline operations like backup validation, log aggregation, and resource provisioning.Configure and manage the Cisco 1120 firewall, implementing advanced security protocols, VPN tunnels, and DMZ configurations.Lead IT projects, including large-scale infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, and network redesigns for the organization and ADM.Proactively monitor and mitigate security threats using SIEM tools, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint detection and response solutions.Manage SIP-based VoIP systems, ensuring high availability and efficient call routing.Plan and execute cloud integration strategies, including the integration of Kubernetes workloads with public cloud services.Develop and test disaster recovery and incident response plans for both corporate operations and ADM’s manufacturing environment.Leverage Zabbix for comprehensive monitoring of IT infrastructure, performance metrics, and proactive issue resolution.Automation and Efficiency InitiativesKubernetes Automation on Bare Metal: Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Helm, and Ansible for Kubernetes deployment, scaling, and management in a bare-metal environment.Scripted Network and Server Management: Automate Layer 3 switch configuration, firmware updates, and monitoring using Python libraries like Netmiko or Nornir.ADM-Specific Solutions: Create tailored scripts and automation workflows to address manufacturing-specific IT needs and enhance operational efficiency.CI/CD Pipelines: Implement CI/CD pipelines for application deployments across the organization and ADM, ensuring fast and reliable delivery.Critical ContributionsKubernetes on Bare Metal: Deploy and maintain Kubernetes clusters in a bare-metal environment, ensuring resource efficiency, scalability, and secure application hosting.Comprehensive IT Support: Provide seamless support for both corporate and ADM operations, addressing a diverse range of technical challenges.Network and System Optimization: Design and manage a robust Layer 3 network architecture, including VLAN segmentation, inter-site connectivity, and QoS configurations.Automation-Driven Operations: Streamline workflows and reduce manual effort by automating critical IT processes.Security Leadership: Implement advanced cybersecurity measures, including threat detection, incident response planning, and firewall management.Documentation Excellence: Maintain thorough documentation for all systems, configurations, and processes to support organizational continuity and ADM-specific requirements.Professional DevelopmentStay current with certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Kubernetes CKA/CKAD, Microsoft Azure Administrator, VMware VCP, and CISSP.Pursue training in emerging tools and technologies, including container orchestration, advanced automation, and manufacturing IT solutions. #J-18808-Ljbffr Ada Technologies Inc
