Overview Business Analyst — Fixed Income Asset Management | Newark, NJ (Hybrid) | 2–3 Days Onsite/Week | 3–10 Years Experience About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst with a strong background in Fixed Income Asset Management to join our growing team at a leading financial firm in Newark, NJ. In this role, you will serve as a critical bridge between business stakeholders — including portfolio managers, analysts, and quants — and the technology team, translating complex business needs into actionable technical solutions. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with portfolio managers, analysts, and other stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications for the development team Support the implementation of fixed income front office systems and tools, ensuring alignment with business needs Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and verify that solutions meet business expectations Develop and maintain project documentation including functional specifications, use cases, and process flows Partner with project managers and cross-functional teams to manage timelines and deliverables, ensuring objectives are met on time and within scope Qualifications Experience: 3–10 years as a Business Analyst within financial services, with a focus on fixed income asset management Core Skills: Strong understanding of fixed income products: bonds, derivatives, and related instruments Python proficiency for prototyping and analysis, including AI-assisted development Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Effective collaborator across both technical and business stakeholder teams Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools Education Education: Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or a related field. CFA, FRM, or equivalent certifications are a plus.
