Director of Operations – Retail & Wholesale - business / management - manager job employment Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience, with performance-based bonus About FIG Kosher Phones FIG Kosher Phones is a growing cellphone and telecommunications company . We operate multiple retail stores as well as a nationwide wholesale division. We are looking for an experienced, organized, and hands-on Director of Operations to oversee our retail stores and wholesale operations. This person will work directly with ownership and will be responsible for creating structure, supervising managers, improving performance, and making sure the company’s daily operations run smoothly. Responsibilities Oversee all FIG retail stores and the wholesale department Manage and hold store managers and department leaders accountable Create and implement daily operating procedures, checklists, and reporting systems Monitor sales, gross profit,expenses, inventory, returns, and customer service Visit stores regularly and evaluate store conditions and employee performance Hire, train, coach, and evaluate managers and employees Make sure stores open on time and operate professionally Improve communication between retail stores, wholesale, warehouse, customer service, and ownership Establish opening, closing, cash-handling, inventory, and customer-service procedures Review employee schedules, attendance, overtime, and staffing needs Handle escalated customer, employee, and operational issues Lead weekly meetings with store managers and department leaders Identify underperforming stores and create improvement plans Prepare a clear weekly operations report for ownership Reduce the number of routine issues that require the owner’s involvement Help build a professional and accountable company culture Qualifications Previous experience managing multiple retail locations or a similar multi-location operation Experience supervising managers and department leaders Strong understanding of sales, gross profit, payroll, inventory, and operational reporting Proven ability to create systems, procedures, and accountability Excellent leadership and communication skills Organized, reliable, honest, calm, and solution-oriented Comfortable making decisions and handling difficult employee or customer situations Able to travel regularly between store locations Strong computer, spreadsheet, and reporting skills Retail cellphone, electronics, telecommunications, wholesale, or distribution experience is a plus The Right Candidate The right person is not someone who only gives instructions from an office. We are looking for a hands-on leader who will visit stores, understand what is happening, support managers, correct problems, and make sure responsibilities are completed.
