Store Manager in Training

Compensation Pay Range: $16.00 - $22.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Assist store manager in areas of sales, appearance, and overall operations of store. Objective is to receive hands‑on training preparing for a future management position in another store or location. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply. Supervise the professional and retail operations of store and team members. Professional: All delivery and installer service specialists. Retail: All parts and merchandising specialists. Supervise all work performed by store/HUB store team members. Work jointly with district manager and store manager in recruiting, testing, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining, and discharging team members under your supervision. Communicate all information from Team Weekly and monthly store manager meetings to all team members. Train new team members assigned to you. Handle team member performance evaluations and recommend pay increases. Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to ensure the selection of qualified team members. Support store manager by working with the assistant management team to ensure safety compliance and that all team members receive appropriate training in all areas. Monitor and reinforce safety expectations. Make sales calls with/without store manager; schedule weekly customer calls as assigned. Support store manager in store operations as assigned. Maintain delivery fleet and record keeping for each vehicle. Ensure staff keeps the store/HUB store neat, clean, and organized at all times. Learn and utilize electronic scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll systems. Manage key components of gross profit. Monitor professional customer returns for core and warranty abuse. Review competitive price matches and price overrides for proper use. Review individual team member productivity and KPI dashboard daily. Review monthly P&L statement with store manager and discuss areas of opportunity. Required Qualifications High School Diploma. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program. Ability to read and match numerical and alpha characters quickly and accurately. Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment, and systems. Desired Qualifications Experience at an O’Reilly store and/or distribution center. Completed O’Reilly management training program.
