Role Description This is a part-time on-site position in San Diego, CA, for a Direct Support Professional in our residential homes located in East County, San Diego. The role involves supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving independence and personal growth. Key responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, implementing individualized program and behavior intervention plans, providing hands-on guidance and training, ensuring health and safety, and fostering social skills. The professional will work directly with clients and interdisciplinary team members to enhance the quality of life and promote community integration. Qualifications Knowledge and experience in Human Services and working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills to build positive relationships and interact effectively with individuals, families, and team members Ability to implement Training and skill-building activities as outlined in individualized program plans Compassionate and patient, with a strong commitment to supporting individuals with diverse needs High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in a related field preferred Prior experience in direct support, caregiving, or similar roles is an advantage Reliable and punctual with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Ability to pass background checks and meet physical requirements of the role, such as lifting and active engagement with participants #J-18808-Ljbffr Promising Futures, Inc.
