LOGISTICS COORDINATOR

Logistics CoordinatorThe Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for working with customers and carriers ensuring proper transportation and delivery of products. This role is also the point of contact for any questions or concerns from customers, vendors, and consumers. The role requires attention to detail and being able to problem solve with different Departments on ensuring customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:Transportation CoordinationOversee the scheduling and arrangement of interbranch transfers and manufacturing the distribution of finished products to customersCollaborate with sales and customer service teams to meet requirements and select appropriate carriers when neededSupply Chain CoordinationProactively address disruptions in the supply chain to minimize delivery impacts.Work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, warehouses, and other sites to ensure a seamless and efficient supply chain processCompliance and DocumentationEnsure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations related to food safety and transportationMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, inventory, and transactionsMaintain insurance carrier doc - handle claims for carriers due to mishandlingQuality Control:Handle quality issues with carriers and warehouses as they arise to ensure standards are maintained throughout the logistics processCommunicationMaintain open lines of communication with customers, warehouses, and carriers to ensure timely and accurate deliveriesCommunicate any delays or issues to customers, warehouses, and relevant departmentsAct as a liaison between warehouse, customers, sales, and customer service teamsProblem SolvingIdentify and resolve high-priority customer issues related to transportation delays, inventory discrepancies, and supplier performance by coordinating with the warehouse, sales, and carriers. Develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate the impact of unforeseenTechnology Utilization:Leverage logistics and supply chain management software to monitor and manage transportation effectivelyQualifications & Education:Bachelor's Degree and/or six (6) years of transportation industry experienceExperience working within food manufacturing, transportation, warehouse, or customer service industries requiredProficient in Excel, complaint platforms, Microsoft Suite, and carrier tracking systems.Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish)Willingness to work on call and weekends when necessaryDemonstrated experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, particularly in D365Experience in a customer facing role preferredPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Office environment moderately quietFrequently standing, walking, sitting, talking, or hearing,Continually utilize hand and finger dexteritySome travel may be required11AM - 8PM 2 hours of on-call from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM rotate every other week
