Description Senior Field Property Claim Resolution Specialist, Large Loss When a policyholder's home is unlivable, they need more than a claim number - they need someone who knows exactly what to do next. That's you.As a Senior Field Claim Resolution Specialist, you'll take on Liberty Mutual's most complex property losses, often severe damage that leaves a family unable to stay in their own home. You'll investigate the loss, determine coverage, scope the damage on-site and guide policyholders through every step of getting back on their feet, all with minimal oversight and a high degree of trust in your judgment.Reliable attendance and full engagement during training aren't optional here - they're the foundation everything else is built on. Show up, lean in and you'll be ready for what this role asks of you.*Level of position offered will be based on skills and experience at manager discretion*Location:Ideal candidate will reside in the San Francisco/Bay Area up to Sacramento Market. 75% travel required.What you'll doInvestigate high-severity property losses, determine coverage and adjust every aspect of the claim to the dwelling and other structures.Manage a pending of complex, high-exposure claims with minimal supervisionInspect loss sites in person, write appraisals for dwelling repairs and issue payment to policyholders where possibleIndependently scope large losses and partner with Liberty's network contractors throughout the appraisal processCertify and re-inspect Liberty-referred contractors and independents as neededWalk policyholders through coverage, help them itemize damages and coordinate emergency repairs and additional living arrangementsCoordinate vendors, contractors, emergency repair crews, cleaning services and replacement providers, to keep recovery movingSpot suspicious losses, recommend SIU referrals and support SIU's investigation when called onStep into catastrophe duty when needed, which may include supporting CAT operations, overseeing quality control on independents and troubleshooting high-profile cases (heavy travel included for CAT fieldwork)Mentor property team members as a technical resource, and step in for your claims team manager when neededIdeal Experience Includes:4+ years experience handling complex property claimsWhy Liberty Mutual:You'll work with real independence on some of the toughest claims we see, backed by a team that trusts your expertise and a company that's spent over a century helping people move forward after loss. Qualifications Requires an advanced knowledge of claims handling procedures, and a full working knowledge of claims operations and procedures. Knowledge of coverages provided within various homeowner policies.Demonstrated ability to handle claims of the highest complexity and exposure. Prior contracting experience preferred. Effective negotiation skills. Ability to effectively and independently manage workload while exhibiting good judgment. Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service. Strong written/oral communication and interpersonal skills. Computer skills with the ability to work with multi-faceted systems, and analytical skills. Completion of advanced property training required. The capabilities, skills and knowledge required is normally acquired through Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and at least 7 years of directly related experience. Ability to obtain proper licensing as required.
